FAIRFAX FULL SPECTRUM POND

The Fairfax Full Spectrum Detention and Water Quality Pond Project consists of constructing a new full
spectrum detention and water quality pond at the northwest corner of Powers Blvd. and Research Ave.
intersection. Project funding is federal, administered by the CDOT stormwater funds as a Local Agency
project to be overseen and owned by the City of Colorado Springs.

Work includes, but is not limited to, constructing concrete trickle channels, two concrete forebays with
impact stilling basins, an outlet structure, maintenance access roads, and a soil riprap spillway. Work
also includes removal of existing riprap, inlets, RCP and plastic storm sewer pipe, and onsite earthwork.
