NRCS Park Sites

The NRCS EWP – Parks and Community Sites project is a collaborative effort led by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and El Paso County to address critical erosion and flooding challenges. Naranjo Civil Constructors serves as the prime contractor for this initiative, with engineering support provided by Felsburg Holt & Ullevig and Basis Partners.

This project focuses on stabilizing waterways and protecting vital community spaces affected by recent flood events. Key improvements include implementing erosion control measures, restoring drainage infrastructure, and reinforcing flood-prone areas to enhance public safety and environmental resilience.

The work will safeguard local parks and community sites, ensuring they remain accessible and sustainable for residents and visitors. By improving drainage capacity and mitigating erosion, the project will reduce the risk of damage to public assets while preserving the surrounding natural ecosystems.

This partnership highlights a commitment to sustainable infrastructure, environmental stewardship, and community well-being, exemplifying the power of collaboration between public agencies and private contractors.
