ABOUT THIS PROJECT
The Cherry Creek @ Scott Road project is a significant endeavor led by Douglas County and the Mile High Flood District (MHFD), with Naranjo Civil Constructors serving as the prime contractor, Muller Engineering as the design engineers, and Western States Reclamation handling revegetation. This project focuses on creek restoration and floodplain mitigation to enhance ecological health and community accessibility. Spanning from Scott Road upstream, the initiative addresses flood control, channel stability, and habitat improvement. The team will protect the community and promote a healthier environment by improving drainage capacity and mitigating flood risks during major precipitation events. This collaborative effort underscores a commitment to sustainable infrastructure, public safety, and environmental stewardship, ensuring long-term benefits for the local community.
