ABOUT THIS PROJECT

The Todd Creek Stream Improvements Project is a collaborative effort between the Mile High Flood District (MHFD) and the Parterre development team, supporting the construction of the Parterre Subdivision in Thornton, Colorado. Wright Water Engineers serves as the design engineer for the stream restoration and stabilization work along Todd Creek, with Chinook Landscape Architecture providing the revegetation and landscape design.
Located within the Parterre community, the project focuses on creating a stable and resilient stream corridor that supports the surrounding development while improving long-term channel performance and ecological function. The improvements restore sections of Todd Creek through channel grading, grade control structures, and native revegetation.
Key improvements include:
Construction is anticipated to occur from February through late summer or early fall, progressing through multiple channel segments and concluding with corridor revegetation and final site restoration.
Beyond its technical goals, the Todd Creek Stream Improvements project helps establish reliable drainage infrastructure for the growing Parterre community while enhancing the stability and habitat value of the Todd Creek corridor. Through coordination between MHFD, the development team, Wright Water Engineers, Chinook Landscape Architecture, and the construction partners, the project supports both watershed health and the long-term success of the surrounding neighborhood.
