About This Project

The South Platte River Trail Improvements project, led by the City and County of Denver in collaboration with the Mile High Flood District (MHFD), is a vital initiative focused on enhancing the trail infrastructure from Mississippi Avenue to Vanderbilt Park. Naranjo Civil Constructors serves as the prime contractor, supported by Muller Engineering Company, Stream Landscape Architecture + Planning, ERO Resources Corporation, and HCL Engineering and Surveying. This project focuses on improving the safety and usability of the trail by replacing deteriorating infrastructure and maintaining trail continuity. While the trail will be closed during construction, the project team is committed to working efficiently to expedite the schedule. These improvements will create a safer, more resilient corridor for recreational users, and maintain existing river access points. By replacing failing infrastructure and enhancing corridor safety, the project improves the recreational experience for the city’s residents. Naranjo Civil Constructors and its partners are dedicated to delivering a space that enhances the livability and resilience of the surrounding neighborhoods, benefiting both the community and the environment.
