A recent project took the expanse of the South Platte River and channelized it to a more environmentally sound waterway, adding vegetated banks and secondary overflow channels to dynamically accommodate fish and fowl. Naranjo has built a number of natural features into riverine environments across Colorado while preserving existing habitats including fish ladders, glides, pools, lunker boxes, and constructed stream bank features.
